About the Role
They are currently seeking a Payroll officer with extensive SAP experience to join their team working remotely from home or attend their office in St Leonards. They currently have two vacancies; estimated 9month and 2month (leave coverage) temp assignments  

Reporting the to Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll, advisory, processing and associated administration services to ensure that staff receive the correct entitlements, specifically in terms of salaries and leave whilst ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  
  
Your duties will include, however, will not be limited to –
  • Deliver professional customer service
  • Answer enquiries within a timely and accurate manner
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee complaints and concerns
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and interpretation of employment conditions, entitlements, legislation, awards, policies and procedures
  • Prepare and process the fortnightly payroll in SAP, ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Monitor, track and maintain all new appointments, resignations and leave without pay to avoid overpayments
  • Action, administer and process all terminations, staff movements, salary variations, leave entitlements, annual increments, overtime and special allowances
  • Generate detailed reports to verify accuracy and enable reconciliation of payroll process
  • Review and update personnel records
  • Preparation of superannuation documentation for a range of funds, liaising with provides to ensure prompt processing of benefits
  • Generate reports for ABS, Taxation Reconciliations and Finance returns
  • Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, facilitating engagement, partnerships, collaboration and contribution of ideas
  • Contribute to continuous improvement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
  
About You
To secure this great assignment you must have the following –
  • Certificate IV in relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated Payroll experience within Public Sector or Large Corporation
  • Extensive experience in a highly transactional payroll related environment
  • Thorough understanding and ability to interpret Awards and EBA’s
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Professional, resilient and empathetic manner
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite and SAP essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable remote internet access to work remotely from home
  • Willingness to undergo National Police check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
