Job Description

A Technical Architect at Datarati plays a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for complex technical and digital marketing requirements. Working with the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the development and documentation of key technical deliverables of the solution design, and be accountable for the quality of solution before it is presented to the customer. This role mainly collaborates within the Sprint team to deliver high quality technical solutions on time and on budget, and occasionally will be in client facing situations such as Solution Discovery, UAT, Solution Walkthrough, Training, etc.

The expert position of Technical Architect is seen as the key driver of the solution development, and generally focuses on the following key areas:

  • Technical Execution: Build the technical solution with the Sprint Team (Technical Architect, Web Developer, Quality Testing Analyst, and Business Analyst) based on the solution design by the Solution Architect. The technical solution should be delivered in quality, on time, and on budget. 
  • Test: Any technical solution delivered to the client is the responsibility of the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for full end-to-end testing and documentation before presenting to Solution Architect for final approval, before presenting to the customer.
  • Train: The Solution Architect (your manager) will be responsible for training and developing you and other Sprint team members (Technical Architect, Web Developer, Quality Testing Analyst, and Business Analyst). However you will be also responsible for your own personal growth and development within the product and services supported by Datarati, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Live on the Bleeding Edge: Stay up-to-date on product development and roadmap, industry trends, and industry news. Sounds easy, it’s not.

Minimum Requirement: the nitty-gritty…

  • 2+ years in technical consulting and/or implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
  • Highly experienced in developing custom Cloud Pages (AMPscript/SSJS), Automations (SQL), and connecting to the Marketing Cloud REST/SOAP API.
  • Experience with back-end programming languages, such as PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, .NET, etc
  • Experience with front-end development including HTML/CSS and JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, BootstrapJS etc.

  • Strong Technical Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Understanding of digital marketing best practices
  • Understanding of web application architecture & development
  • Experience in business requirements gathering and solution documentation
  • Experience Storytelling, Storyboarding, and Customer Journey Mapping
  • Experience developing mobile responsive web pages and emails
  • Pitching ideas, presenting to internal/external stakeholders
  • A passion for solving problems
  • 2+ years relevant work experience

Members of the Technology Team support our customers in a number of ways including business requirements gathering, technical discovery workshops, consultation, solution design, development and implementation.
