Job Description

You’ll join [Hidden]* as part of our Engineering Team. This role is initially 4 hours per week for equity compensation, and is suited to an entreprenuarial individual with the desire to be a part of an early stage startup. We’re looking for someone who is keen to stay with us long-term and to consider a full time role in 6+ months.

Reporting to the CTO, you’ll help us build the [Hidden]* platform. Some of the responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Work with the Engineering and Product team to deliver a roadmap with current best practices, with guidance from our AWS expert on the team.
  • Independently work on new services or features and influence the tech stack they will be built with. Examples include notifications or authentication services, integration tests, and complex React-based UI.
  • Strive to fully understand our processes and suggest improvements.
  • Build with freedom in your own time.


  • We’re open to backend, frontend, or full stack developers - we feel everyone has their unique skills to bring to the team and we’re keen to learn what you can teach us.
  • You have experience building modern applications, and can help us improve our engineering capabilities without the need for much training or guidance day to day.
  • You should be skilled in Node.js and TypeScript. We also use React, React Native, Postgres and many AWS technologies.
  • Proactive, driven, and self-motivated, able to embrace change in a fast paced evolving environment.
