Job Description

As a senior quality engineer, you will base decisions on metrics while always striving for efficiencies in execution never compromising on quality. You will work on a variety of technologies and testing tools, adding value in proposing all in-compassing solutions. You will work in cross-functional teams to drive transformative change and high-quality commercial outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working with your squad, other teams and business services to define and deliver a radically improved product
  • Collaborate with the product owner, engineers, analysts and other people in your squad to identify risks early and help fix bugs as they arise, improving quality from the outset. Test early and test often
  • Coach engineers to have test-driven development approaches to avoid coding defects
  • Design test approaches and optimise test execution across functional and non-functional coverage
  • Build scripts and tools to implement and continuously improve test outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for testing continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient testing
  • Ensure the necessary hygiene for test case creation, script creation, test execution and defect logging in a system
  • Refine acceptance criteria and provide estimates for work
  • Report’s progress and issues in a timely manner, in particular, to relay issues that might impact quality.

Experience Guidelines

  • Strong testing background in an Agile / DevOps delivery environment   
  • Hands-on experience in Front End / Web testing – Java / Selenium, Cypress, TestCafe
  • Hands-on experience in API/Web Service testing – Postman, SoapUI and Rest Assured
  • Experience in design and implementation of automation frameworks for both UI and API.
  • Experience testing Web-Based applications
  • Experience testing API / Web-Services
  • Experience with programming languages and database query tools, e.g. Java Script, C#, SQL, HTML, XML etc.
  • Understanding of CI/CD delivery pipelines
  • Strong experience in managing projects involving high test automation coverage
  • Good understanding and implementation experience of Quality Engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is a big plus
  • Banking domain knowledge is a huge plus
